 Zurbuch Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced residential construction superintendent to join our team You will be supervising large residential remodels, additions, and occasionally new builds, primarily in the Chapel Hill and Durham greater areas. You will have the support of an experienced team of project managers and superintendents to help fulfill job responsibilities. We encourage team problem solving and active communication between staff. You will have the ability to receive monetary job completion bonuses by meeting key construction deadlines and performance benchmarks for projects under your supervision.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Project Managers in job planning and scheduling
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects
  • Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors; provide field oversight for all aspects of the construction process
  • Develop and maintain relationships with homeowners; serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners throughout the construction process
  • Manage construction schedule, and quality control completed work
  • Keep notes on job progress, and report weekly in All Staff meetings
  • Develop and maintain subcontractor relationships; Interface with project inspectors, architects, engineers, etc.
  • Organize and execute change orders, and communicate them to all parties internally, as well as the customer
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to plans and specifications

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a residential superintendent, in construction management, or other related fields
  • Experience with construction management software such as CoConstruct, and familiarity with up to date industry software
  • Proficiency in reading construction drawings and communicating scope of work
  • Ability to problem solve and provide clear instructions
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Strong communication skills with clients, sub-contractors, team members, etc. via email, phone, and text
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
