Asphalt Paver Operator

Asphalt Paver Operator Duties
- Operate asphalt paver to lay asphalt on road surfaces, parking lots, and other construction projects
- Level asphalt using a rake, tamper, or roller
- Check and adjust settings of asphalt paver to ensure smooth and even flow of asphalt onto the surface
- Position and secure the screed according to the desired width and depth of asphalt
- Inspect and maintain asphalt paver, making adjustments and repairs as needed
Asphalt Paver Operator Skills
- Operate asphalt paving machines to spread, level and smooth asphalt and other materials
- Inspect and maintain equipment, detect and diagnose malfunctions
- Follow safety regulations and procedures
- Ensure that paving operations are conducted in an efficient and cost effective manner
Asphalt Paver Operator Requirements
- Ability to operate heavy machinery
- Strong understanding of asphalt paving principles
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Knowledge of safety procedures
