The Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of high-pressure die-cast machines. This role ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing production output. The Machine Maintenance Technician works closely with the production and engineering teams to address equipment issues promptly and implement preventive maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance on high-pressure die cast machines and equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
  • Break down repairs (troubleshoot and recover production equipment).
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to extend the lifespan of equipment.
  • CMMS data entry
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
  • Work with the engineering team to implement equipment upgrades.
  • Follow company safety protocols and procedures during maintenance activities.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies.
  • Ensure tools and equipment are in good working condition and calibrated as necessary.
