CES/AWS is seeking a Maintenance Technician for an automotive manufacturing client in the Simpsonville, KY area.

Location:  Simpsonville, KY
Pay rate: $28.75/h + $1 differencial
Schedule: Friday and Saturday 6:00am-4:30pm/Sunday and Monday 6:00pm-4:30am
Temp-to-Hire position

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) of all equipment and facilities. You will play a critical role in ensuring our operations run smoothly by performing installations, repairs, and maintenance, while also improving productivity and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain equipment and facilities.
  • Perform minor repairs on building fixtures, plumbing, electrical fixtures, painting, and more.
  • Analyze mechanical and operational problems, making necessary adjustments for optimal production and quality.
  • Conduct equipment testing after repairs, changeovers, or extended downtime.
  • Record operational data for use in setup and preventive maintenance records.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance during non-production times.
  • Propose and implement continuous productivity and quality improvements.
  • Provide technical advice on new equipment and facility alterations.
  • Manage the requisition of supplies, equipment, and facilities.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and consumables to minimize downtime.
  • Keep maintenance documentation up to date.
  • Train operators on the safe operation of production equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Adhere to all company work rules and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Clean and paint equipment, seal floors, and maintain line markings during downtime.
  • Actively participate in work teams and suggest at least two improvement ideas per month.
  • Dispatch trouble calls as needed.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Comply with the company’s Code of Management and Code of Ethics.

Qualifications:

  • Technical diploma and/or journeyman certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills, including wiring.
  • Familiarity with fabrication/processing techniques, tools, materials, machines, and equipment.
  • Working knowledge of quality systems, health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Automation/PLC proficiency is required.
  • Strong work record, including satisfactory attendance.
