Position Title: Paralegal

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Paralegal to join our team at our South Hills office in Pittsburgh, PA. The ideal candidate will possess experience in estate planning and administration, with a readiness to perform real estate closings upon acquiring their notary license.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist attorneys with various tasks related to estate planning and administration, including drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing client communications.
  2. Prepare and organize estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  3. Collaborate with attorneys to review and analyze estate planning documents and ensure compliance with legal requirements and client objectives.
  4. Manage the administration of trusts and estates, including asset inventory, distribution, and accounting.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, financial institutions, and other parties involved in estate matters.
  6. Develop a solid understanding of real estate closing procedures and regulations.
  7. Obtain a notary license and perform real estate closings under attorney supervision.
  8. Maintain accurate and organized records of all legal documents and client interactions.
  9. Stay updated on changes in estate planning laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Paralegal certification preferred.
  • Prior experience in estate planning and administration is required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to obtain a notary license for real estate closings.
  • Familiarity with legal software and databases is a plus.
