An Estimator at Terry's Landscape is responsible for measuring qualified properties and calculating the

associated labor, materials, subcontractor, and equipment costs. In this role, you will report to the Director

of Business Development and collaborate with highly experienced managers of field operations and

purchasing. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with clients, architects, and/or engineers to understand desired project scope

  • Reviewing architectural plans and site maps

  • Confirming completeness and accuracy of Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Measuring commercial properties via satellite imagery and/or field inspections

  • Utilizing operating software and spreadsheets to perform necessary estimate calculations

  • Maintaining current information on labor rates, materials performance & pricing, and regulations

  • Assisting in the preparation of client proposal packets

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Strong quantitative and problem-solving abilities

  • Proven experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365

  • Excellent organizational skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills, including verbal and written

  • Team player with a positive attitude

  • Comfort in a highly goal-oriented, accountable work environment

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Work experience in the commercial landscape industry

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish

  • At least 18 years of age with legal authorization to work in the U.S.
