POSITION SUMMARY

The Water/Wastewater Project Manager will oversee project acquisition and execution within our Water/Wastewater Departments. The focus will be on the strategic planning and design of water and wastewater systems, which includes aspects such as planning, conveyance, pumping, storage, and treatment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Direct project execution as a Project Manager, ensuring technical design, financial performance, scope and schedule management, staffing, and quality assurance.
  • Lead the development of technical and pricing proposals.
  • Support the implementation of the Department's strategic objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients in the Southern California region, particularly in the Inland Empire.
  • Collaborate with regional water/wastewater teams for effective resource management and project pursuits.
  • Supervise and mentor team members.
  • Represent Michael Baker International professionally with clients, agency personnel, contractors, and industry organizations.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater engineering, including work on pipelines, pump stations, chemical dosing systems, reservoirs, and similar projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Experience in supervising engineering teams in the delivery of Water/Wastewater projects.
  • Proficient in developing construction documents, including plans and technical specifications.
  • Skilled in preparing engineering cost estimates, technical memoranda, and design reports.
  • Professional Civil Engineer license in Texas is required, or the ability to obtain it within six months.
  • Strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple project assignments effectively while working independently and collaboratively.
  • A proactive self-starter with a passion for problem-solving and meeting deadlines.
  • Adept at analyzing project requirements, establishing objectives, and formulating engineering solutions with minimal oversight.
COMPENSATION

The estimated compensation range for this role is $111,037 to $173,40. This range represents a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and work location.
