Job Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Cold Caller / Inside Sales Representative is to generate new business opportunities and drive sales growth for the company's technical industrial products (encoders, slip rings, counters). This role involves initiating contact with prospective B2B customers through cold calling, building, and nurturing relationships and effectively communicating the value and benefits of our products. The Cold Caller / Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in expanding the company's customer base, achieving sales targets, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the organization. Additionally, the role supports sales through accurate order entry and exceptional customer service. Will work directly with Regional Sales Managers and pass them off to them.

Schedule: 

  • Monday - Friday
  • 40 Hours
  • Start time either 8:00 am or 8:30 am
  • 30 minute lunch

Starting Pay Range:

  • $22 - $25 per hour
  • Benefits and salary review upon permanent hire

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Cold Calling: Initiate and make outbound calls to potential B2B customers to introduce and promote our products (encoders, slip rings, counters)
  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads to build a robust sales pipeline
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with prospective customers, understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions
  • Product Knowledge: Gain a deep understanding of our technical products to communicate their features and benefits effectively to customers
  • Sales Process: Manage the sales process from initial contact to closing the deal, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for the customer
  • Order Entry: Assist with order entry and processing, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of products
  • Customer Support: Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Sales Goals: Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics
  • Other tasks: Any other task

Experience: Proven experience in cold calling, inside sales, or telemarketing, preferably in a B2B environment

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills using phone & email skills.
  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to understand and explain technical products to customers
  • Customer-focused: Strong customer service skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Sales Skills: Persuasive, confident, and goal-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Team Player: Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. CRM expertise- a plus
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite required; Microsoft CRM, and NAV a plus

Skill & Competencies:

  • Understand customers and be able to build a relationship. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with deadlines. Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
  • Demonstrated experience communicating technical information
  • Maintain knowledge of products and services, industry developments, and company operations through independent research and by participating in training and development activities to provide superior sales support service
