Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor outstanding claim status and take appropriate action to ensure prompt resolution
  • Follow-up on re-billed and corrected claims
  • Ensure outstanding insurance claims are re-billed within the insurance carrier’s filing limitations
  • Obtain accurate patient eligibility, coverage, benefit and authorization information from insurance carriers
  • Maintain current patient, payer and claim related information and inform appropriate entity regarding any discrepancies that may cause issues related to reimbursement (i.e., 1500 claim forms, EOB’s, patient insurance information)
  • Document outstanding claim resolution activity in the TherapyNotes Claim History Document
  • Communicate with clinicians, external insurance payers and other entities as necessary to resolve outstanding claims
  • Respond to incoming phone calls and emails from potential and current patients.
  • Prioritizes work to meet Soultenders stated response and resolution times.
  • Work with the manager / supervisor to stay updated on new developments and best practices for obtaining complete and accurate eligibility, coverage, benefit, and authorization information
  • Report clinician non-compliance to manager/supervisor regarding claim resolution
  • Assist in obtaining problem claim resolutions as directed
  • Provide project-based and business development administrative assistance as necessary
