ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. The CD will be expected to fulfill the following responsibilities:
•Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of clinical staff.
•Oversee and manage the work of other clinical staff.
•Review a variety of client treatment plans, assessments, and other clinical documents for efficiency.
•Determine the level of care a client needs.
•Ensure the best procedures and practice are followed by clinical staff.
•Perform evaluations and assessments to develop new clinical techniques, interventions, and skills.
•Address various legal and ethical matters regarding the programs and clinical staff.
•Ensure compliance and accuracy of clinical records.
•Meet with department heads and other administration staff.
•Provide employees with performance reviews.
•Plans and organizes activities related to specified clinical services to ensure client needs are met in accordance with professional standards of treatment.
•Develops, implements, and evaluates methods to ensure effective and efficient use of staff and other resources while maintaining client care standards.
•Develops, implements, and coordinates quality management, utilization review, and discharge planning within the CORE program.
•Participates in orientation and in-service training for staff members and participates in guidance antieducational programs.
