Job Description:
As a Legal Biller Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our finance team by ensuring accurate and timely billing processes for our legal services. Your responsibilities will include managing new file openings, compiling and processing attorney bills, and resolving billing discrepancies.   • Key Responsibilities:

  • Open new files and enter them into the billing system.
  • Compile and process attorney bills to clients according to specified criteria and timelines.
  • Input invoices into electronic billing systems, reviewing and editing language as necessary.
  • Monitor and track bills through the approval process and track payments.
  • Resolve discrepancies, reductions, over-payments, and submit appeals as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2+ years of experience in legal billing is preferred BUT will train the right person.
  • Proficiency in legal billing software; knowledge of Aderant Sierra is a plus not a must.
  • Basic understanding of Excel for data management and reporting.
  • Attention to detail is a must
