UNCERTIFIED SAFE SCHOOL OFFICER - UPCOMING ACADEMY - MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dynamic Integrated Security is looking for candidates that would like to become Safe School Officers (Guardians) for the 2024/2025 school year in Broward and Dade Count

PAID training while attending an academy instructed by the Miami-Dade Police Department at the Miami-Dade Public Safety Training Institute and Research Center. Yearly requalification with the Sheriff's Office is required to maintain certification.

UNCERTIFIED SAFE SCHOOL OFFICER: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

  • Uniforms provided
  • Personal protection equipment and ammunition provided
  • Annual In-house tactical firearm training
  • Active shooter training
  • CPR/AED training
  • Stop-the-bleed training
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid training

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 21 years of age
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English language
  • Valid Florida Driver License
  • Valid Florida Class D Security License
  • Valid Florida Class G Security License
  • Valid Florida Class W Concealed Weapon Permit
  • Must pass all prerequisites of F.S.S, 1006.12(4), including a level 2 background check, 10-panel drug test, medical physical, and a psychological evaluation as designated under Chapter 490 by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
  • Successfully complete the Chris Hixon, Coach Aaron Feis & Coach Scott Beigel Guardian Academy instructed by the Sheriff's Office
  • Successfully complete ongoing training, weapon inspection and firearm qualification on an annual basis and provide documentation to the Sheriff's Office, School District or Charter School's Governing Board as applicable

EXPIERENCE LEVEL:

  • Military - Preferred
  • Law Enforcement/Corrections - Preferred
  • First Responders - Preferred
  • Extensive Armed Security Experience - Required

GEAR REQUIREMENTS:

  • Duty rated 9mm handgun with 5 magazines
  • Duty gear with a level 3 retention holster (NO BLACKHAWK SERPAS)

SCHEDULE:

  • Mondy to Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • No less than 40 hours per week
  • Overtime available
