Job DescriptionJob Description

Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the financial reporting process, including the consolidation of financial results across multiple entities.
- Manage and coordinate the preparation and filing of SEC reports, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, and other required disclosures.
- Supervise the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and M&A activities.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process, ensuring all audit requirements are met.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Conduct technical accounting research and stay up-to-date on new accounting standards, assessing their impact on the organization.
- Provide leadership and mentoring to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Support the finance team in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management, to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation preferred.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting and technical accounting, with a deep understanding of GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
- Strong background in managing the financial close process and preparing consolidated financial statements.
- Proficiency in technical accounting topics such as revenue recognition, lease accounting, and financial instruments.
- Experience leading or working closely with external auditors.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and apply complex accounting standards.
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop accounting professionals.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in financial reporting software and ERP systems.
