Position Summary

Drivers will pick up and deliver various assigned shipments and ensure the overall success of the day-to-days scheduled service and maintain strong customer relations with all internal and external customers. It is the responsibility of the driver to ensure that their truck is loaded properly with the correct products required in order to provide excellent customer service. Works with Operations Manager, Branch Manager, and other warehouse personnel to ensure accurate and timely pulling of orders and placement of stock. Works with diverse individuals with varying levels of education, expertise and backgrounds including customers and peers.

Position Duties & Responsibilities

  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Perform daily and weekly inspections on vehicles and keep accurate reports.
  • Deliver products to designated destinations in a timely manner.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting internal and external customers with problem resolutions as required.
  • Organize and load products for daily deliveries ensuring the most efficient delivery route.
  • Organize appropriate paperwork for daily deliveries. Example: Invoices, Pick-up tickets, etc.
  • Accurately deliver and unload products to designated destinations in a timely manner and obtain signatures to complete all required paperwork.
  • Collect payments at the time of delivery when required.
  • Perform all functions in compliance with all DOT regulations and company fleet safety and general safety rules.
  • Follow procedures for all returned products. Returned products include over-stock, damaged products, and warranty items.
  • Accept returns from customers, complete appropriate paperwork and returns product to warehouse.
  • Properly secure product to prevent damage while in transit.
  • Perform additional tasks as required and/or assigned.
  • Be vigilant to any attempted theft.

Physical Requirements of the Position

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to sit and drive for periods not to exceed six hours.
  • Move product as much as 100 yards.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must be flexible to work Saturdays during peak season.
