Sous-Chef / Cook    

Japanese Restaurant /Edomae Style Sushiya, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team. The sous chef will be responsible for the following:
 

·       Washoku training is preferred but not required.

·       Prepare the necessary ingredients on time with the appropriate quality.

·       Cook appetizers during service with the appropriate quality.

·       Understand the work of the kitchen team, excluding the chef, and direct them to properly prepare and get ready for service within the               allotted time.

·       Order, inspect, and store the necessary ingredients.

·       Order, inspect, and store non-food items such as paper and detergent.

·       Clean the kitchen and service areas as needed, cooperating with kitchen staff and dishwashers.

·       Train kitchen staff and dishwashers.

·       Monthly kitchen inventory.

·       Conversational Japanese is preferred but not required.
