Job Description:

RPh on the Go is seeking an experienced and proactive Retail Pharmacist In Charge for a dynamic pharmacy in Marietta, OK. This role is pivotal in managing all pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The position is available as a temp-to-perm or direct hire opportunity, with a comprehensive benefits package including benefits, 401k, PTO, and IRA match.

  • Pharmacy Hours:
    • Mon-Fri: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM
    • Satur: 8:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Qualifications:
  • OK State Licensed Pharmacist
  • Previous Pharmacist In Charge (PIC) experience preferred or previous management experience required
  • Recent retail experience required
  • Certified Immunizer
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Computer RX experience preferred but not required
Duties:
  • Prescription Verification: Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Pharmacy Management: Oversee daily pharmacy operations, including staff management, workflow optimization, and inventory control. Ensure efficient and effective pharmacy operations.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and monitor policies and procedures to maintain professional practice standards and ensure compliance with Board regulations and all applicable state and federal laws.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations adhere to state and federal regulations. Track regulatory changes, update policies as needed, and communicate changes to staff.
  • Staff Supervision and Development: Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance. Foster a supportive and productive work environment.
  • Patient Care and Counseling: Provide expert advice and counseling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, and interactions. Address patient concerns and ensure high-quality service.
  • Medication Management: Oversee all aspects of medication management, including accurate dispensing, storage, and documentation. Ensure proper handling of controlled substances.
  • Inventory and Financial Management: Manage inventory levels, order pharmaceuticals and supplies, and conduct regular stock audits. Participate in budget planning and monitor financial performance, implementing cost-control measures as needed.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with patients and the local community. Promote pharmacy services and contribute to community health initiatives.
  • Technology Integration: Utilize pharmacy management software to streamline operations, enhance efficiency, and maintain accurate records. Stay updated with technological advancements in pharmacy practice.
