Summary

Reese Law Group is a law firm located in Carlsbad (San Diego County). We are currently hiring a Network Administrator to ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our data communications network to meet the expectations of our Fortune 500 clients.

 

The ideal candidate will have the skills and expertise to deploy, configure, maintain, and monitor all active network equipment, ensuring seamless network operations.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving network issues, implementing security measures, and proactively optimizing network performance.

The Network Administrator will play a crucial role in maintaining a robust and dependable network infrastructure for our organization and our Fortune 500 clients. Essential Job Functions

· Maintain, configure, support, upgrade, troubleshoot and secure firm’s Computer Network including onsite servers, Cloud solutions, switches, routers, firewalls, auxiliary server components, VOIP services, individual workstations, network printers, third-party applications and backup/recovery solutions.

· Research and make recommendations for server system administration, security, business applications, hardware, software automation, printers and IT processes.

· Write, maintain, support, troubleshoot and secure automation solution script coding for various solutions.

· Document and update solutions for IT Documentation.

· Assist IT Team with end user training for new programs/technology.

· Assist IT Team with writing and enforcement of IT Department Policies and Network policies/procedures.

· Share Help Desk support responsibilities with the IT Team for a law office of approximately 70 employees at a single office location and with many employees working remotely.

· Exercise independent judgment in determining the best course of action for both routine and unusual tasks.

· Work collaboratively with other IT staff and office staff.

· Report to work in a regular and timely manner.

 

Knowledge/Skill/Ability Requirements

· Education level: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar, highly preferred.

· Experience level: 2+ years of progressively challenging experience within an IT department preferred. CompTIA A+ Certificate preferred.

· Ability to configure and troubleshoot Windows Server Administration software, Office 365 Administration systems, backup systems, firewall solutions, routers, switches, network traffic, printers and server hardware.

· Some knowledge and ability to learn scripting language(s) such as Powershell, Python, Visual Basic, Java, etc.

· Ability to utilize Windows 10 and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other computer software programs in an efficient manner, and to search for help in the use of such programs independently via the internet.

· Ability to take initiative in learning new concepts, best practices, seeking additional information, and asking questions of co-workers when uncertain.

· Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a manner that enables timely completion.

 

Scheduling Requirements

· Must be able to work a normal M-F schedule on site.

 

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands

· Must be able to work in a seated or standing position, for periods up to and exceeding 8.0 hours per day.

· Extensive use of a mouse and keyboard, and calculator.

· Extended viewing of a computer screen.

· Extensive use of a telephone.
