Summary:

Promote sales (with an emphasis on HVAC products) to current and perspective clients, via phone, face to face, email, fax, assisting clients in product selection, education, and company offerings and to generate bids for clients and customers based on their needs and job requirements/specifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Phones Sales and counter sales

· Conduct Proactive calls

· Establish a well organized sales call process, establishing contacts with all personnel involved in the decision making or purchasing decisions

· Introducing or demonstrating products offered by Maumee Supply, (new and existing)

· Follow up on quotes and proposals in a timely manner to develop feedback for any lost orders and to show appreciation to customers for bids awarded

· Work in a joint effort with any additional Maumee Supply personnel or vendor sales representative to make sales presentations or problem solving sales calls

· Attend company functions and trainings as requested by management

· Perform counter sales on Saturday according to the rotational schedule

· Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs, interests and code requirements

· Prepare estimates and bids that meet specific customer needs.

· Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, and product uses.

· Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations

· Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers' needs, product specifications, and applicable regulations.

· Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information

· Consult with vendors and suppliers on products and negotiate cost for quotations

· Read blue prints, job take off’s, and customers list and generate bids based on requirements, investigating available options and alternatives.

· Transmit quotation and submittal information to customers via Phone, FAX, Email and mail.

· Maintain quotation and job files

· Consult with customers via Email, FAX and phone selling and informing customer on products, pricing and availability

· Assisting with face to face counter sales, receive and process payments for cash sales

· Assisting with phone sales.

· Enter orders received in any format: Verbal, Email, FAX, purchase orders, etc.

· Generate Job submittals

· Communicate with co-workers and purchasing about pending jobs and quotations

· Communicate with customers and outside sales staff regarding upcoming commercial jobs

· Use online services to download plans and specifications and then create job folders for members of quote team to bid.

· Communicate with vendors regarding open bids and obtaining special pricing

Requirements

Education Level, Credentials and Experience:

- Two years related experience in wholesale distribution

- Two years experience in the HVAC/Plumbing industry

- Two years in sales and or quotations

- High School diploma or a GED Equivalent
