Area 51 Powersports is located West of Odessa, MO is a full-service repair, service, upfitter, and powersports dealership. We support our community by keeping their machines running. We are under new ownership and looking to grow our operation.

We are seeking a customer-focused, detail-oriented, and dependable Service Advisor/Writer to join our team. As a Service Writer, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating service appointments, managing repair orders (ROs), and ensuring efficient communication between customers, mechanics, and other departments. Your primary work product will be with all-terrain vehicles, SxSs, motorcycles, and dirt bikes.

Requirements & Experience:

  • Powersports mechanical background with the ability to speak the "lingo."
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Ability to maneuver motorcycles, SxSs, and ATVs safely.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Team player with a focus on providing superior customer service.
  • "Can-do" attitude.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service by listening to customer concerns, answering their questions, properly documenting issues and addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
  • Initiate and manage repair orders (ROs) from start to finish. Communicate with customers throughout the process, providing updates on job progress and any additional work required. Logging all interactions and relevant details on repair order for easy reference by all parties involved. Cashiering repair orders ensuring correct pricing and appropriate payment methods.
  • Schedule mechanics' work for the day, ensuring they have the necessary parts and equipment to complete each job efficiently. Maintain a fast-paced and organized work environment.
  • Perform walk-arounds of customers' machines, document repair needs and detailing the scope of work required. Include accurate and thorough descriptions in the repair orders to ensure proper completion of repairs.
  • Possess knowledge of machine maintenance schedules and inform customers of recommended service intervals. Schedule maintenance work accordingly to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with all departments within the company, including mechanics, sales, and management, to facilitate smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
  • Keep the service area clean, organized, and professional-looking to provide a welcoming atmosphere for customers and promote a positive working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000 to $47,000
