Summary

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our collaborative team of legal professionals. As an associate, you will work closely with our other talented attorneys and staff, providing support throughout the journey of a case file. This is NOT an entry level position as we are specifically looking for an attorney with prior experience in First Party Property Insurance litigation. We provide a supportive atmosphere where we help you grow as an attorney, but our specific need is for someone already familiar with this area of law. Candidates who are Bilingual (Spanish) are preferred. Compensation is competitive and is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal support to clients
  • Collaborate and assist other attorneys to achieve client’s goals
  • Maintain client relationships
  • Prepare legal reports and documents
  • Meet legal deadlines
  • Interact with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert affidavits
  • Interact with fact witnesses to gain critical information
  • Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and other court appearances
  • Work closely and respectfully with firm staff

Qualifications

  • Law degree from a fully accredited law school
  • An active member in good standing with the Florida State Bar Association
  • Prior litigation experience in First Party Property litigation, either defense or plaintiff side
  • Bilingual – fluent in speaking and writing in Spanish preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
  • Proficient computer, writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability to work remotely in Miami with our team based in Orlando, and be available and willing to cover any in-person appearances in South Florida that may be required from time to time.
