Route Customer Specialist

We are looking for reliable, resourceful, and enthusiastic Route Customer Specialists who are concerned with customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner. The Route Customer Specialist will be driving along a designated route to deliver pre-ordered products while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. You should be willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct customer.
To ensure success as a Route Customer Specialist, you should demonstrate a sound knowledge of customer service, and be polite and prompt with a commitment to providing our clients with an excellent experience. A top-notch Route Customer Specialist will be thorough in ensuring orders are properly fulfilled, committed to work safety, and passionate about satisfying customers.
Job Overview:
CDL-B Route Customer Specialist will securely load the correct orders, ensuring the safe transport of products, and delivery of those products safely and timely to the correct customers. Our regular routes run seven days per week and are almost exclusively evening and night-time hours. The majority of our drivers work 4 to 5 days per week.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Operate all company equipment safely and correctly.
- Work all scheduled shifts and be available to cover additional shifts (within DOT guidelines)
- Deliver loads safely and efficiently.
- Present a pleasant and professional demeanor while representing the company.
- Conduct thorough pre and post-vehicle inspections.
- Ensure paperwork is completed fully and accurately.
- Promote teamwork by assisting other drivers as needed.
- Communicate consistently with the Logistics Manager and Fulfillment Supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid CDL-B license w/ air brake endorsement
- Live within thirty (30) miles of Hamtramck distribution center
- Must be at least 21 years old by Section 391.11(b)(1) of FMCR
- Flexible availability; assigned routes will be for evenings and weekends
- Possess a valid DOT card
- Clean driving record for the prior three (3) years
- Adhere to all DOT regulations related to CDL-B operators.
- Able to pass DOT-regulated drug tests and background checks
