Job Description

Empire Cooler Service has been the leading supplier of refrigeration and ice making equipment in the Chicago area since 1932. We lease and service equipment to the restaurants, hotels, hospitals, schools, warehouse, corporate office and more throughout the continental United States. We are a “white-glove service company” whose goal is to anticipate and exceed our customer's needs in this ever-changing hospitality market.

We are looking to add an Accounting Specialist to our Finance team

Job Summary: The Accounting Specialist will process all warranty claims for reimbursement from the manufacturers and invoice customers for services provided once the Dispatch center has completed the request. This person will also serve as a back-up to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable when they are out of the office. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

· Prepare and mail out invoices to customers for sold service based on closed service calls

· Prepare and mail out warranty claims to manufacturers on leased customer equipment

· Work with manufacturers for credits/payment to the company on warranty work completed

· Review closed service calls for miscoding to ensure customer is correctly being billed for any parts or work

· Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction

· Utilize problem-solving abilities along with a can-do attitude to creatively “think outside of the box” when approach to issues presents a challenge.

· Recommend and implement appropriate action plans for process improvement.

· Serve as back-up to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable when needed

Experience and Skills

· The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in accounting with focus on invoicing and warranty processing.

· Associate degree in business or accounting; bachelor’s preferred.

· Exceptional organizational/communication skills.

· Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

· High level of integrity and trustworthiness.

· Microsoft Office skills; Advanced Excel preferred.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to multi-task various assignments.

· Self-starter with above average work ethic, committed to entire team success.
