Gatesco, Inc is a family owned property management company servicing the Houston area for more than 20 years. The company is offering an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join our accounting team department.
Key Responsibilities:
• Reconcile all applicable income statement accounts to ensure accuracy.
• Prepare monthly bank statement reconciliations and promptly record any reconciling items.
• Records and ensures that all expenses, receipts, owner's distributions, and other transactions for the accounting period have been accurately posted
• Review and maintain cash balances for assigned properties.
• Ensure monthly mortgage payments are made and recorded correctly.
• Work with Property Managers and Supervisors to produce quality financial statements for owners.
• Provide information to lenders and banks as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred and a minimum of two to five years of accounting experience, or equivalent combined work experience.
• Residential (Multi-family) Real Estate experience required.
• Experience with MRI Software or other related software
