Trailer Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair of semi-trailer bodies, systems, and components.
• Perform preventative maintenance measures on semi-trailers.
• Maintain hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.
• Inspect, service, and replace trailer parts, including tires.
• Check and repair the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Test all systems and equipment for performance issues.
• Ensure that trailers meet the U.S. Department of Transportation's road safety requirements.
• Compile inspection reports, document repairs, and report all findings to management.
• Respond as soon as possible to client queries.

Trailer Mechanic Requirements:

• A minimum of 1 year experience as a trailer mechanic.
• A valid driver's license.
• In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, such as hydraulics, air breaks, and electrical systems.
• Extensive experience with vehicle diagnostic equipment.
• A good understanding of mechanical and technical information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Manual dexterity, experience with hand tools, and physical strength.

Days: Monday through Friday (could work weekends as needed)
Hours: 7:00 am to 4:30 pm (hours could vary)
