Are you skilled in precision and have an eye for detail?  West Coast Countertops Inc is looking for a Digital Template Technician to join our dynamic team. The Measurer is responsible for using a laser templating system to create digital templates with exact dimensions for interior applications. In this role, you will also be trained as a backup CNC Operator, enhancing your skill set and contributing to the versatility of our team.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Accurately template jobs using the laser templating system, adhering to homeowners' and contractors' specifications.
  • Communicate with the scheduler to ensure timely templating of houses for countertops.
  • Coordinate with remodel homeowners to set appointments for templating.
  • Maintain dependability and punctuality, especially when interacting with customers or contractors.
  • Operate within the legal guidelines, including adherence to traffic laws while driving company vehicles.
  • Keep an accurate, up-to-date status for scheduled projects in coordination with the schedule coordinator.
  • Locate addresses and subdivisions accurately and promptly to ensure project timeliness.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the company, conducting all interactions with honesty, integrity, professionalism, and dependability.
  • Maintain a harmonious working relationship with all company employees and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure a professional appearance and behavior, minimizing the misuse and waste of supplies.
  • Acknowledge and prioritize customer satisfaction in all tasks.
  • Travel will consist of the entire state of California, with overnight stays.
  • All other duties as assigned.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with homeowners, contractors, and office personnel.
  • Valid, current Driver License with a safe driving record to be insurable by the company.
  • Mathematical skills and the ability to read a tape measure for accurate measurements.
  • Experience and training in using computer software programs.
  • Ability to walk throughout various areas including offices, shops, and job sites, including those undergoing construction/remodeling.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.

What You Will Experience:

  • Working in a countertop shop and warehouse setting.
  • Exposure to noise and dust in the shop/warehouse.
  • Travel to job sites, primarily in California by automobile year-round.
  • Extensive fieldwork with exposure to various weather conditions and potential hazards.
  • Temperature-controlled office environment with moderate noise when not in the field.
  • Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 75 pounds.
  • Working with or around hand/power tools, and heavy machinery.
  • Regularly reading labels, signs, measuring devices, and computers.
  • Standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Regularly wearing closed steel-toe shoes, eye and ear protection, etc.
  • Lifting, pushing, and pulling equipment and products.
