Job Description

Guru Discovery, LLC, (www.gurudiscovery.com)is looking for a Relativity Certified Administrator to work as an Independent Contractor. The position requires expert working knowledge of Relativity and familiarity or willingness to learn additional document review platform functions and data analysis software applications. The position’s primary function is to support legal teams in e-discovery review and production workflows using a combination of software utilities and industry best practices. You’ll be working with a small, highly effective team of professionals – work may be remote or in-office subject to current and future project needs and workflows. Communication skills and attention to detail are critical with this position, as you’ll be communicating with your team members and our clients constantly.

You’ll be responsible for managing the Relativity support queue for internal and external counsel and coordinating project requirements alongside Guru Discovery and sister company Larimer Law, PLLC (www.larimer-law.com). You will be working with Legal and Operations team members in order to establish production schedules, generate data analytics and manage every aspect of a Relativity workspace.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Providing expert level user support to a wide range of Relativity customers including: Outside counsel; in-house managed Review teams; technical Teams (e.g. Collections); and, non-technical staff

2. Relativity Workspace administration: Workspace creation and configuration; User Group permissions settings; creating coding fields and layouts, batch creation and workflow; creation of complex Saved Searches; creation of Pivots and dashboards; search term report (STR) creation, testing and refinement

3. Data ingestion through Relativity processing: staging data; creation of Processing Entities (Custodians); Relativity folder structure and document security configuration; creation of processing profiles and understanding of deduplication; processing of date; identification and resolution of processing errors; and, QC of data post publish

4. Data Production: Creating Production Sets on the front end of Relativity as well as exporting same through the Relativity Desktop Client (RDC) and creating final production deliverable. Must also have experience loading incoming Third-Party production through the RDC

5. Troubleshooting and resolving Relativity issues remotely, and via screen share with clients,

6. Managing User Group permissions in the workspace as well as document level security.

7. Creation of new Users in Relativity and managing of same (adding to user groups, activating/deactivating users, etc.)

8. Providing Relativity training for internal Guru/Larimer Law users and outside counsel,

9. Creating complex DT Search Terms and Search Term Reports (STRs)

10. Creating/modifying batch sets, batches, and batch searches,

11. Providing Relativity support, client training and Relativity Demo presentations,

12. Working with Guru/Larimer Law personnel to help develop and create documentation for procedures and workflows that improve the overall level of service for our clients,

13. Advising internal users and outside counsel on review and production options and best practices,

14. Other duties as assigned.

Skills and Qualifications

Required:

1. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the eDiscovery field at either an eDiscovery vendor or a law firm with its own Relativity instance. A minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Project/Case Manager (or equivalent) with overall responsibility and oversight for specific individual matters

2. Full understanding of the full EDRM/litigation lifecycle. Ability to work collaboratively with, and provide guidance to, Attorneys, technical teams, and non-technical staff.

3. Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA)

4. Experience working with Relativity Analytics and other TAR/CAL systems

5. Expert knowledge of Relativity review platform to include: Workspace creation and configuration; User Group permissions settings; creating coding fields and layouts, batch creation and workflow; creation of complex Saved Searches; creation of Pivots and dashboards; search term report (STR) creation, testing and refinement

6. Knowledge of, and hand-on experience with, Relativity Processing. Experience to include: Stagings data; creation of Processing Entities (Custodians); Relativity Folder structure and document security configuration; creation of processing profiles and understanding of deduplication; processing of date; identification and resolution of processing errors; and, QC of data post Publish

7. Expert knowledge of creating Productions in Relativity, both creating Production Sets on the front end of Relativity as well as exporting same through the Relativity Desktop Client (RDC) and creating final production deliverable. Must also have experience loading incoming Third-Party production through the RDC

8. Working knowledge of Relativity Analytics, Structured Analytics and Concept Analytics. To include common SAS operations such as Email threading, names normalization, and Textual near duplicate identification. Experience with Relativity Active Learning a plus

9. Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written), including the ability to communicate technical concepts in readily understandable lay person’s terms,

10. Strong troubleshooting skills,

11. Must be available to work weekends and/or evenings when needed,

12. Efficient time management skills, strong organizational skills required, as this is a remote position,

13. Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; four years minimum of related experience and/or training in the litigation support industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience,

14. Strong knowledge Microsoft Office, emphasis on advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Access.),

15. Other duties as assigned


Preferred:

· Knowledge of other processing and review platforms such as IPRO Eclipse, Lexis LAW PreDiscovery, and IPRO eCapture

· Working familiarity with Reveal; experience working in non-Relativity review platforms

Compensation

Hourly Pay: $75 to $100 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Project based work: minimum availability 15 to 20 hours per week. After hours work may be required based on specific project needs. Exclusivity not required.
