The Quality Assurance Manager at Hudson® is responsible for overseeing compliance programs, conducting audits, and guiding the organization in maintaining a culture of adherence to relevant laws and regulations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks and uphold the company's commitment to quality.   As a Quality Assurance Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations meet and exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor incoming shipments and coordinate testing procedures to ensure timely product readiness.

- Ensure products align with customer specifications during preparation and delivery.

- Assist customers with regulatory documentation and provide custom documentation support.

- Guide vendors to meet quality and microbiological standards.

- Conduct quality testing on incoming samples to uphold Hudson® standards.

- Stay abreast of FDA and state regulations to ensure compliance.

- Facilitate hygienic sampling for sales purposes and arrange 3PL facility sampling.

- Address customer quality concerns promptly and find effective resolutions.- Maintain an organized file system for regulatory documents and manage compliance requests through designated platforms.

- Update Certificate of Analysis (COA) statuses and product availability in our inventory management program QuickBase.

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.  Advanced degrees or certifications in compliance are advantageous.

- Proven experience with 2 years as a Quality Assurance Manager or similar role with expertise in regulatory compliance and risk management.  Previous experience in the food industry is a plus.

- Comprehensive understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance frameworks.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for conducting compliance audits and identifying non-compliance areas.

- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in compliance assessments and documentation.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

- Willingness to collaborate with different departments.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple compliance projects, and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency in compliance software, risk management tools, and reporting systems.
