Position Title: Accounting Manager

Location: Plantation, FL

Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial reporting, and driving process improvements. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for streamlining accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Manage and oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
  • Internal Controls: Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring all necessary documentation and information is provided.
  • Process Improvements: Identify and implement efficiencies to streamline accounting processes and improve financial reporting.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation and analysis of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ad-Hoc Analysis: Provide financial analysis and support for various projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, NetSuite) and advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Leadership: Proven leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Problem-Solver: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
