Contract: Aug 2024 - Feb 2025
Hybrid: Cupertino, CA
PR: 54-64/hr Depending on YOE

We are seeking a UX/UI Writer to join a team dedicated to crafting the user experience for apps used by store employees. In this role, you will craft copy for various applications, including a point-of-sale system and a suite of operational tools designed for shopping, learning, and service experiences. This hands-on writing role requires someone who excels at distilling complex requirements into elegant solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Craft comprehensive documentation, including copy docs and style guides.
• Collaborate with designers, product managers, operations specialists, and engineers to transform insights and requirements into intuitive interfaces.
• Use judgment and creativity to solve complex problems in innovative ways.
• Develop clear, concise copy for accessibility features such as VoiceOver, ensuring usability for all users.
• Refine and update deliverables based on feedback from users, cross-functional team members, and senior partners.
• Work with localization partners to improve the translation process and ensure accuracy and relevance in every store.
• Present designs to broad audiences to gather feedback and build consensus.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of proven experience as a UX Writer, Content Designer, or similar role.
• Deep understanding of UX and how copy and design support each other.
• Experience contributing to and following a style guide.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and be motivated by feedback from designers and cross-functional partners.
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and a track record of delivering quality work in a fast-paced environment.
• Passionate about creating inclusive, accessible copy that translates effectively for global audiences.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present work effectively to team members.
• Genuine enthusiasm for crafting exceptional user experiences and improving overall design quality.
