Data Entry Specialist II

Job Summary
• Analyze and enter data into the computer system.

General Accountabilities
• Prepares and sorts source documents, and interprets data to be entered.
• Able to analyze reports to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
• Enters alphabetic and numeric from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen, and enters necessary codes.
• Compares data entered with source documents, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
• Makes necessary corrections to information entered.
• Compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
• Review reports for accuracy.
• Provides introductory information to employers.
• Able to troubleshoot and answer employer questions.
• Checks for accuracy in deposits and posts financial transactions.
• Excellent phone and customer service skills.

Job Qualifications
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 1-2 years of data entry experience preferred and accounting or banking experience preferred

Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Problem solving
• Active listening
• Proficient in Excel
