Job Overview: For over 30 Years The Bates Company has developed and managed its portfolio of commercial and residential property in Southern Calif and Northern Nevada. We are currently looking for a Real Estate Assistant who will play a vital role in managing our listings, showcasing properties to prospective tenants, and ensuring smooth lease transactions. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering positive relationships with tenants and property owners. No Real Estate License is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Property Showings: Arrange appointments to showcase properties to potential tenants. Conduct tours of vacant units, highlighting key features and amenities.

  2. Marketing & Promotion: Circulate marketing material for vacant units, including online listings, brochures and signage. Coordinate advertising efforts to attract prospective tenants.,

  3. Lease Preparation: Prepare necessary lease documents and ensure all required paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.

  4. Lease Execution: Supervise the execution of the lease agreements, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.

  5. Market Analysis: Stay familiar with market trends and rental rates to provide informed advice to property owners regarding pricing and leasing strategies.

  6. Tenant Relations: Maintain regular contact with tenants and owner representatives to build and maintain strong relationships. Address any concerns or issues promptly to ensure tenant satisfaction.

  7. Property Management Support: Coordinate with property manager to address any tenant issues or lease renewals effectively.

  8. Business Development: Assist in the pursuit of new business opportunities, including identifying potential clients and promoting available properties.

Requirements:

  • Reliable automobile and proof of insurance for transportation to property locations.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Professional demeanor with a positive and enthusiastic attitude

  • Prior related experience or some college and/or specialized vocational/technical training is preferred.

  • Possession of a California Real estate License or commitment to obtain one with a specified timeframe is a plus.

Working Conditions: This position involves frequent travel to property locations and may require flexible hours to accommodate client schedules and property showings. The Real Estate Assistant will primarily work in Monrovia, with frequent trips to the properties.
