Law firm is seeking a Property Inspector. The property inspector is responsible for visiting the properties marked for auction in the upcoming month. Additionally, will also be responsible for taking pictures of the properties visited and uploading them through PowerPoint along with their inspector notes. This position requires 25%–75% driving; Must be fluently bilingual in Spanish and English. Excellent communication skills are necessary as the position requires them to effectively communicate with the public in person and over the phone.

The primary purpose of this position is to: According to Harris County interlocal committee agreement firm is required to have property inspected prior to tax sale. This position is handling property inspection on all the properties listed for tax sale in Harris County.

  1. Every month visit and inspect all properties posted for sale, take digital photos and upload them daily on PJ picture Power Point.

  1. Organize inspections for daily property inspections. Complete average 10-15 pictures per day (based on total sales per month) and upload them on PJ power Point daily.

  1. Contact property owners on occupied properties to insure they are informed of the pending tax sale.

  1. Add notes on inspections form and contact neighbors for any additional information.

  1. Place a Pink yellow sale sign on the door for all improved property if no contact

  1. Place a big yellow “FOR SALE” sign on all vacant lots to make owner and neighbors aware of tax sale.

  1. Insert digital pictures and comments on PJ PowerPoint and complete the Presentation for management and client to view Friday before the interlocal.

  1. Attend management (pre-inter-local) and client (interlocal) committee monthly meetings regarding tax sales.

  1. Determine if property matches Harris County Appraisal District description and report any discrepancy to attorney/Manager also contact HCAD for needed corrections

  1. After interlocal meeting - complete the re-visit of the properties recommended by interlocal committee client and provide updated status.

  1. Provide daily/weekly work report to management. Give advance notice to management if not able to meet the deadlines.

  1. Order and keep in stock all necessary signs for tax sale notification.

  2. Discus monthly work plan for next month, right after interlocal with manager. Follow the guide line and meet the deadlines according to calendar. .

  3. Complete extra inspections assignments on no tax sale cases in timely manner.
