Logistics Operations Manager Overview: We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in brokering loads, negotiating carrier rates, and securing new business. This remote position involves managing a team of 3 to 4 Logistics Coordinators and driving growth.
Logistics Operations Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3-4 Logistics Coordinators.
- Broker various loads (intermodal, van, hot shot, flatbed, bobtail, project cargo).
- Negotiate competitive carrier rates.
- Secure new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies.
- Optimize logistics functions (brokering, shipping, storing, packing).
- Utilize logistics technology for efficiency.
- Maintain client and carrier relationships.
Logistics Operations Manager Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in freight, trucking, and cargo operations.
- Strong negotiation and business development skills.
- Leadership experience in a remote setting.
- Proficient with logistics technology.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Business
- Warehousing, customs clearance, order management, fulfillment, pick and pack, and end-user transport.
