Key Responsibilities:
- Delivery and Transportation:
- Load, transport, and deliver furniture to customers in a timely manner.
- Ensure the safe handling of all furniture items during loading, transit, and unloading.
- Navigate and follow delivery routes and schedules.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service, addressing any questions or concerns during delivery.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by handling items with care and respecting their property.
- Assembly and Installation:
- Assemble and set up furniture at the customer's location as required.
- Use tools and equipment to ensure proper assembly and installation of furniture.
- Ensure all items are placed correctly and are functioning properly.
- Maintenance and Safety:
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while driving and handling furniture.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times, mileage, and any customer feedback.
- Obtain necessary signatures and documentation upon delivery completion.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in delivery driving, furniture handling, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to [specific weight] lbs) regularly.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
