Job DescriptionJob Description

Ecobat NY is looking for bright, energetic electrical controls engineers with great work ethics, who are goal oriented individuals willing to work hard to achieve the desired results.

Ideal candidates should be experienced in designing, developing, and supervising all aspects of electrical control and automation systems. Candidates with experience in all Controls fields will be considered, however the most desired candidate will have experience working in the process controls and material handling industries.

Candidates MUST have the below qualifications:

  • Candidates should have minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Programmable Controllers.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the AB Control Logix Hardware.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in FactoryTalk SE programming.
  • Candidates must demonstrate a working understanding of design, layout and use of current networks such as DeviceNet, ControlNet, Ethernet/IP and Modbus.
  • Candidates must have current experience with the rigors of on-site startup/commissioning.
  • Candidates should have the capability to develop and/or follow a project plan knowing the importance of setting and meeting milestone dates.
  • Willingness to work weekends & nights if needed.
  • Willingness to support electricians to troubleshoot controls after work hours.

Preferred but not required.

  • Experience with AutoCad environment will be beneficial when being considered as a candidate.
  • All PLC controls industrial experience is plus. However working experience with Allen Bradley Hardware & Software is required.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist with System Design and Implementation
  • Program, debug, test, and document PLC and SCADA Software solutions.
  • Maintain current and accurate documentation of systems
  • Oversight of contractors assisting in the installation and delivery of systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain new and existing control system.
  • Perform all work in a manner consistent policies, procedures, and standards.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology in a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in control system engineering is best
