Easterseals UCP is a non-profit service provider in North Carolina & Virginia. We are seeking a compassionate, caring and dedicated Crisis Counselor to join our collaborative, multidisciplinary Mobile Crisis Management team designed to provide crisis interventions for individuals in our community.

Part time Overnights Sunday - Thursday in Goldsboro, NC

What You’ll Do

Easterseals’ Mobile Crisis program is a crisis intervention and stabilization system that works in collaboration with other agencies to provide a coordinated response to an individual’s crisis. As a Mobile Crisis Counselor, you will need to respond to dispatches immediately, complete assessments and interventions to address each crisis as well as transporting the individual in crisis as needed. In addition, you will assist the individual and their support system in the development of a crisis plan to increase coping skills and provide for safe resolution of future crisis events.

How You’ll Benefit  

You’ll earn a competitive salary of $10/hour on-call pay, $20.00/hour plus shift differential when called out for a crisis and enjoy a part time, flexible, partial remote work schedule Sunday through Thursday 11 pm-7am. We also offer benefits to those working Part-time. Our benefits include:

What We’re Looking For

To join our team, you must be willing to provide in-person care in the homes and in various community settings within Goldsboro (must reside with-in Goldsboro), rotate crisis responder coverage, have a passion for helping others, have experience with diffusing crisis, and able to link clients to community resources. We also require the following:

  • Must meet the minimum standards of a NC qualified professional
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field  
    • Two years’ experience in crisis with the MH/SA population-internships count.
  • A valid NC driver's license, current auto insurance, a good driving record and reliable transportation
