Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant to support our client’s medical facility based in North Bergen, New Jersey.  This is a contract-to-hire opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization  
 
Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in preparing exams and treatment rooms by ensuring all necessary supplies, instruments, and special equipment are properly set up and maintained.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by taking and recording vital signs, performing required tests (such as EKG, PFT, and lab tests), and assisting the physician as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records by documenting patient interactions and test results, and ensuring timely filing and organization of medical charts.
  • Utilize computer software to manage office systems, including scheduling, billing, and patient record management, while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
  • Modify and deliver care tailored to the specific needs of the patient population, considering factors such as age, culture, language, and any sensory impairments, to ensure effective communication and treatment.

Required Qualifications: 

  • High School graduate, GED or equivalent
  • Medical Assistant certification
  • BLS certification
  • Over 1 year of experience

Additional Information:  

  • Location:  North Bergen, New Jersey
  • Job Type: contract to hire.
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday – 08:00 am to 05:00 pm
  • Pay Range: $ 18.00 to 25.00/hour.  

*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
