I am currently seeking an Electrical Engineer who will lead the electrical department remotely on VA Healthcare projects nationally.

 

This role involves managing all phases of projects within a remote, virtual working environment, collaborating with a diverse team including architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, sub-consultants, and clients, primarily focusing on healthcare projects.

 

The ideal candidate is an Electrical Engineer, P.E. and RCDD licensed, with experience in healthcare projects.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Design and develop electrical and fire alarm systems for healthcare projects
  • Perform Revit modeling and collaborate with other disciplines
  • Conduct electric load calculations
  • Prepare drawings and contract documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarm systems, and controls
  • Review calculations, drawings, and specifications for quality assurance
  • Generate redlines, technical reports, and narratives
  • Develop, design, and construction cost estimates
  • Provide construction administration services, including inspections
  • Focus on healthcare design projects, particularly for the Veterans Administration.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Professional Engineering License required
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical systems, low voltage, and communications
  • RCDD certification required
  • Proficiency in Revit
