Glendora Employment Agency, Inc. specializes in bringing local job seekers together with local employers. We are currently seeking a Temporary Accounting Clerk II for a client in Covina.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties for this position include, but are not limited to:

·       Answers and route calls as appropriate; receive the public at the front counter; answer questions and process requests; sort and process mail; maintain a variety of records and files; order supplies for assigned department.

·       Receive payments, issue receipts, balance cash and prepare daily bank deposits; perform data entry and post receipts to various accounts and funds; operate cash register.

·       Handle accounts payable; sort and distribute invoices from vendors; contact vendors regarding invoices and payments; process invoices; create various accounts payable reports.

·       Prepare accounts receivable; receive and post payments for utility billing, business licenses, transportation services, and other various fees; may perform payroll functions as needed.

·       Maintain and reconcile a variety of ledgers, account records, and reports; assist with annual budget preparation by estimating costs and performing data entry; collect and enter timecards for assigned area.

·       Process business license requests; assists customers with questions regarding business licenses; route all business license requests to appropriate departments for approval; maintain posting of payments; mail renewals and past due notices; print and mail all business licenses upon approval; maintain business license files; notify Code Enforcement of non-renewals.

·       Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Ideal candidates should possess the following skills/qualifications demonstrated through previous work experience:

·       2+ years of accounts payable and receivable experience required.

·       2+ years of general clerical experience required.

·       2 years of customer service experience required.

·       Prior cash handling experience preferred.

·       Must be proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).

·       Must be detail oriented and able to accurately input information.

·       Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize. 

 

 

Position: Temporary, approximately 1 – 3 months

Shift: Monday – Thursday from 7:00am – 6:00pm

Salary: $19 - $21/hour (depending on experience)
