Client in Selma area is seeking an experienced Dispatch Coordinator for an immediate temp-to-hire opportunity

Job Summary: The Dispatch Coordinator schedules profitable loads and dispatches freight according to needs schedule. Identifies favorable backhauls and develops relationships with current customers.  Provides customer service and troubleshoots driver and customer issues as needed.  

Supervisory Responsibility: Leads Manages and holds Accountable. 

Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Recruiting: Screens possible candidates for Transport or Subhauling. Ensures they have the skills and experience needed and communicates potential recruitment of a driver accordingly. 

• Schedule and Dispatch: Coordinates and schedules drivers and freight between various locations for customers. Track all customers’ requests and arrange for on-time pick-up and delivery schedules. Ensure drivers meet on-time requirements and efficiency levels. Anticipates weather complications along routes and coordinates route changes accordingly. Notify clients well in advance of potential late deliveries. 

• Administration: Ensures drivers complete daily driver logs and pre-inspection forms.  Collects, reviews, and submits in-house driver timesheets, meal waivers, reimbursements forms,  and coordinate corrections or modifications with appropriate staff. Submits PO requests for trucking-related purchases. 

• Customer Satisfaction: Responsible for client communications, conflict resolution, and compliance on client deliverables and revenue. Communicate with customer about freight  details, delivery, or pickup times.  

• Recordkeeping: Collects BOLs and field tags from drivers daily and complete weekly reconciliation logs. Provides all paperwork necessary for Payroll and Accounting departments to process invoices, payroll, and payment to subhaulers (if applicable). Monitors the usage of fuel by tracking and analyzing how much fuel is being used accordingly and has oversight of  distribution of WEX cards to all drivers
