The Role

The Merchandise Coordinator is responsible for maintaining records and recording all new sample merchandise. The Merchandise Coordinator will work closely with the Merchandise, Purchasing and Distribution teams. The role will also work alongside other merchandising and design staff on various projects and provide reports to the VP, Merchandising and other departments. The successful candidate is a proven self-starter, have the ability to 'own' processes, is passionate about managing details, is highly organized, and a proactive communicator.

Responsibilities:

• Follow-up with Distribution team on new sample arrivals and deliveries and update files as needed.
• Draft new delivery orders, order new collections and follow-up with deliveries.
• Generate new item reports and email to sales staff.
• Coordinate pre/postproduction photoshoot efforts including merchandise selection.
• Follow-up with Purchasing on new sample status
• Partner with Design team to edit the line and create display lines as needed.
• Fill requests for photography as needed and track samples.

• Create layouts for catalog pages and confirm all new merchandise is included with correct style numbers.
• Contribute to the creative brainstorming process at merchandise development meetings for new collections and edit copy before finalizing samples.
• Assist with sample analysis to determine what to order for stock and create stock orders and submit to purchasing department.
• Assist with all details for photoshoots.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Qualifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Merchandising, Design, Marketing or equivalent work experience
• 2-4 years merchandising experience (fashion and/or jewelry industry preferred)

• Working knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel and Outlook.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities at once; excellent time management skills
• Ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude
• Work well with others; MUST be a team player
