Candidates for senior accountant positions should possess solid communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills. accountants, we generally look for at least three years’ experience, along with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Typical senior accountant — duties:

  • Reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.

  • Preparing financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assessing internal controls, including risk assessments and reviews of risk areas.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and preparing the annual budget variance analyses

  • Maintaining and reconciling Debt Schedules.
  • Supervising accounting staff.
