Certified Financial Planner (CFP)

Wealth Management

New York, NY. (Hybrid 3 days in office)

Compensation: $130k-$170k base plus bonus ($200k "all in" potential)

 

Our client is a thriving, well-respected RIA / Wealth Management firm with offices in NYC and Palm Beach. The New York team has an opening for an experienced, client-focused Certified Financial Planner to formulate and implement holistic financial planning advice and partner with internal and external stakeholders.

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP):

The Certified Financial Planner focuses on assigned High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) clients and works closely with internal portfolio managers. Responsibilities include:

· Relationship Management: Be a point of contact for a number of clients, holding meaningful conversations and ensuring long-term relationships and ongoing customer care.

· Financial Plan development: Based on a client’s goals and circumstances, create comprehensive and holistic financial plans inclusive of:

- Defining clients' goals and objectives

- Income Tax Planning

- Balance Sheet

- Risk Management and Insurance

- Retirement, Education, and Special Needs

- Cash Flow Statement

- Estate Planning

- Investment Planning

· Client Service: Provide exceptional tailored, consultative client service that exceeds clients' expectations

· Prepare customized presentations and materials for individual client meetings

· Contributing to company projects and initiatives when needed

· Occasional travel as needed

 

Qualifications of the Certified Financial Planner (CFP):

· 7 plus years’ experience in comprehensive holistic financial planning with a demonstrated ability to partner with internal stakeholders and High Net Worth (HNW) and Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) client relationships. Significant estate planning is required.

· Holds the CFP® designation

· Experience either presenting at or participating in client meetings

· Extensive experience serving UHNW clientele with a focus on generational wealth management and preservation is preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in finance or related discipline

· Strong demonstrated Financial Planning interest, acumen, and judgment

· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify difficult financial concepts for a non-financial audience

· Familiar with financial planning software; experience with eMoney is a plus

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Tech-savvy.

· Detail-oriented, self-starter, takes initiative

· Team player, collaborative, able to work effectively with others, including staff in other network branches

· Organized and able to set priorities

· Of the highest integrity, fiduciary professionalism, and polished demeanor
