We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven professional to join our team as an Investment and Financial Services Executive. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of investment strategies, managing client portfolios, and providing comprehensive financial advisory services for startups we invest in via the FounderCentered platform. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of financial markets, investment products, and wealth management principles, along with a proven track record of driving business growth and delivering exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement investment strategies to achieve clients' financial goals and objectives, taking into account their risk tolerance, time horizon, and liquidity needs.
  2. Manage client portfolios and assets under management, including asset allocation, portfolio rebalancing, and investment selection across various asset classes.
  3. Conduct thorough financial analyses, including cash flow projections, risk assessments, and investment performance evaluations, to provide clients with personalized and actionable recommendations.
  4. Proactively identify opportunities to expand client relationships and grow assets under management through cross-selling of investment, wealth management, and financial planning services.
  5. Stay abreast of market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory developments to inform investment decisions and provide timely advice to clients.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including research analysts, portfolio managers, and wealth planners, to deliver integrated and customized solutions that meet clients' evolving needs. Note some of these teams may be working with partner investment groups. 
  7. Lead client meetings, presentations, and reviews to communicate investment performance, portfolio updates, and strategic recommendations effectively.
  8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices related to investment management and financial advisory services.
  9. Drive business development initiatives, including prospecting, networking, and participating in industry events, to acquire new clients and expand the firm's market presence.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA, CFA, CFP) preferred.
  2. Proven track record of success in investment management, wealth advisory, or financial services, with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  3. Deep knowledge of financial markets, investment products, asset allocation strategies, and portfolio construction techniques.
  4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform quantitative analyses, interpret complex financial data, and develop actionable insights.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence decision-makers, and articulate complex financial concepts to diverse audiences.
  6. Client-centric mindset, with a focus on delivering exceptional service, building long-term relationships, and exceeding client expectations.
  7. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to mentor and develop junior team members, foster a collaborative team environment, and drive business results.
