About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Glasswash Technician to join our team. This entry-level position plays a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and sterility of glassware used in our customer's laboratories. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including collecting dirty glassware, operating cleaning equipment, and restocking supplies.
Responsibilities:
- Collect dirty glassware from designated locations throughout the customer site.
- Operate and maintain equipment related to glassware processing (e.g., washers, dryers).
- Wash and sterilize glassware according to established protocols (GMP and non-GMP environments).
- Maintain accurate inventory of glassware and glass-washing supplies, and reorder as needed.
- May utilize specialized equipment, such as autoclaves, to ensure sterilization.
- Assist in preparing solutions used in glassware processing (following established procedures).
- Actively participate in safety training and adhere to all safety protocols in the laboratory.
- Update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One (1+) year of glass washing experience preferred, or applicable work experience demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a laboratory setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of scientific products and services is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach.
- Must be physically able to perform tasks such as walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying objects up to 50 lbs.
