Obsidian Solutions Group (OSG) is seeking a Production Specialist – Data Modeler to join the Team
Supporting National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) providing Geospatial Intelligence for our nation’s security by ensuring customer success through assured access to GEOINT data, capabilities, and insights. Assist with aligning efforts across the organization and systematically unify analyst's production workflows. Analysts shall develop and enforce a file management system for data storage, access, and retrieval of mission specific data. Apply comprehensive knowledge of a variety of analytic tools to develop models, visualize data, and perform a wide range of analyses (e.g., systems analysis, comparative analysis). Identify new solutions and methodologies as they apply to GEOINT analysis.
Specific Responsibilities
- Provide GEOINT subject matter expertise as applicable to the client and the USINDOPACOM missions by applying extensive skills and experiences in analytic modernization and geospatial analysis.
- Utilize and incorporate Intelligence Analysis Tradecraft, Data Preparation, Analytical Innovation, Spatial Interpolation, Statistical Analysis, Geometric Analysis, Image Interpretation; and Map Algebra to detect, analyze, and document key intelligence observations.
- Develop tradecraft artifacts unifying geospatial analyst's workflows.
- Lead an organization wide geospatial analyst community of interest generating best practices
- Build and design custom workflows and portal applications to streamline analyst workflows.
- Provide advice to Government leadership on processes, procedures, technology, and items of interest.
- Lead collaboration across NGA and IC analysts in the performance of services. Such collaboration efforts should lead to better synergized analysis than the sum of the individual parts.
- Provide senior level support to NGA office level leadership.
- Demonstrate advanced application of their knowledge and skills in the following fields and have demonstrated this knowledge and skill in previous work: GEOINT Analyst, Geographer, Cartographer, Toponomyst, Aeronautical Specialist, Maritime Specialist, Geophysical Specialist, Regional Specialist, Functional Specialist
- Bachelor’s degree in related field: GEOINT Analyst, Geographer, Cartographer, Toponomyst, Aeronautical Specialist, Maritime Specialist, Geophysical Specialist, Regional Specialist, Functional Specialist
- Minimum 10 years in related field: GEOINT Analyst, Geographer, Cartographer, Toponomyst, Aeronautical Specialist, Maritime Specialist, Geophysical Specialist, Regional Specialist, Functional Specialist
- Fully capable of meeting all services required without direction.
- Will be capable of providing direction to lower-level employees and of performing quality control and quality assurance checks on other employees' work.
- Able to provide advice to Government leadership on processes, procedures, technology, and items of interest.
- Able to lead collaboration across NGA and IC analysts in the performance of services.
