Quality Technician
Pay Range: $19-21/hr
Shift: M-F, 1st shift
Location: Decatur

PrideStaff is working with an established production facility in the Decatur/Avondale Estates area that is looking for a Quality Technician. This is a temp-to-hire role with a company that has a great culture and good benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect components before filling orders
  • Analyze and test product batches
  • Check finished goods before packaging
  • Basic knowledge of all Quality procedures and forms
  • Maintain all company inspection reports (scanning all compounding and production paperwork and filing electronically following protocol)
  • Inspect and test compounded batches following protocol set up by Corporate Management.
  • Approve compounded batches after all checks completed
  • Inspect and check finished products hourly for quality issues (check weight, codes, seals, and packaged product) according to company standards.
  • Pull labels for each job order, count and return to the warehouse after job completed
  • Keep detailed records of product defects or manufacturing issues as products are tested/assessed.
  • Report any issues to management
  • Inspect incoming materials and maintain all reports generated.
  • Identify possible areas of improvement in Quality processes and work with Management to make improvements.
  • Ensure that all measuring equipment is maintained and calibrated.
  • Work as a team with all parts of the company
  • Find solutions to customer complaints and give feedback.
  • Collect and maintain retain samples.
  • Complete/print placards for all finished goods going to the Warehouse
  • Encourage cleanliness as part of safe working conditions

Qualifications:

  • Good computer skills
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail in order to maintain quality products.
  • Ability to work as a team.
  • Ability to train and teach others.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of the processing skills used throughout the plant.
