We are seeking a detail oriented Inside Sales Customer Service Representative responsible for managing customer purchase orders, facilitating communication with customers, and providing timely feedback and solutions. This role involves close collaboration with customers, sales personnel, and the manufacturing team to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient order processing.

Key Responsibilities of the Inside Sales Customer Service Representative

  • Collaborate with the sales team and product specialists to generate quotes for both existing and potential customers.
  • Accurately enter customer purchase orders into the manufacturing software, adhering to lead times provided by the manufacturing team.
  • Provide customers with order acknowledgments and regular updates on order status.
  • Maintain open communication with customers to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure their needs are met.
  • Work closely with outside sales and the manufacturing team to respond to customer requests and troubleshoot problems.
  • Engage with potential and existing customers via email and phone to identify and pursue opportunities for product and service sales.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with customers to build trust and encourage repeat business.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for customer orders and shipment records.

Required Skills and Qualifications of the Inside Sales Customer Service Representative

  • Prior customer service experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable. Not interested in call center experience  
  • Ability to quickly learn and maintain a strong understanding of the company’s products and services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including a strong and professional phone presence.
  • Proficiency in using Outlook for email communication; Excel skills are an added advantage.
  • Basic math proficiency, including the ability to calculate percentages, sales prices, and discounts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers and understand their needs.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with sales and manufacturing personnel to meet job responsibilities.
  • Must be organized, able to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, use a telephone handset or headset, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
