We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial records for our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily accounting operations related to our commercial property portfolios.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Responsible for the quarterly close process, including preparing supporting schedules
  • Work closely with property management to review or prepare operating statements and variance explanations.
  • Update and provide third-party bank required reports as needed.
  • Prepare tenant operating and real estate tax escalations for annual reconciliation as required.
  • Monitor available cash on an ongoing basis.
  • Maintain cash flow, profit projection and other managerial reports as needed.
  • Manage, analyze and interpret leases.
  • Document and/or update required asset, tenant and loan information into computer database programs.
  • Work with financial reporting in regards to complex transactions.
  • Prepare journal entries as needed
  • Work independently and collaboratively to help discover and implement efficiencies throughout the accounting process.
  • Support senior management in financial projects, due diligence procedures and ROI analysis.

​Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) preferred
  • Accounting experience minimum of seven (7) years, with experience in commercial property preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Familiarity with financial accounting statements
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software packages
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
