Job DescriptionJob Description

Joint Construction, is currently seeking skilled framing carpenters for multi-family/commercial projects throughout the Madison area. Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of construction with rough carpentry experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and construction documents

  • Build, erect, and assemble structural frameworks for buildings, including walls, floors, and roofs

  • Measure, mark, and cut lumber to precise dimensions using hand and power tools, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the construction process.

  • Install bracing, anchors, and other reinforcements to ensure the stability and integrity of structural frameworks, following building codes and safety standards.

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with the designated specifications and building codes

  • Assist in preparing work sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials to facilitate efficient workflow and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in rough carpentry or a related construction field is preferred, with a solid understanding of construction techniques and practices.

  • Proficiency in using a variety of carpentry tools and equipment, including saws, drills, nail guns, and levels, to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.

  • Punctuality and dependability are essential to maintain project schedules and uphold quality standards throughout the construction process.

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
